Generation MLM Software

Generation MLM Software — Rank-Based Generations. Leadership Bonuses.

MLMOrbit's Generation plan engine calculates commissions based on generation boundaries defined by rank — not simple level counts. When a downline distributor achieves a qualifying rank, they start a new generation. The upline earns a generation bonus on each generation's volume. Configured at installation.

How It Works

Generations Are Defined by Rank, Not Levels.

Why Generation Plan Rewards Long-Term Building

Unlike Unilevel (which caps depth at a fixed number of levels), the Generation plan's depth is unlimited — you earn on every generation down to the configured count, regardless of how many actual levels separate you. A qualifying distributor 50 levels deep still starts a generation that earns you income.

This makes Generation plan ideal for businesses that want to reward distributor mentorship — getting your downline to qualify, not just to join.

In the Generation plan, commissions are not calculated by fixed levels (Level 1, Level 2). They are calculated by generations — which are defined by rank boundaries. When a distributor in your downline achieves a qualifying rank, they mark the start of a new generation.

For example: Generation 1 includes everyone in your downline until the first qualifying distributor. Generation 2 starts from that qualifying distributor and continues until the next qualifying distributor beneath them. You earn a different percentage on each generation's total volume — typically 5% on Generation 1, 3% on Generation 2, 1% on Generation 3, and so on.

This rewards leadership development at every level of the network. The more qualifying distributors your downline produces, the more generation income streams you earn. The breakaway mechanism (if configured) means that when a downline leader reaches your rank, they become an independent unit — but you continue to earn an override commission on their group's volume.

Plan Configuration

Generation Settings — Configured at Installation

SettingDescription
Qualifying RankThe rank a downline distributor must achieve to define a generation boundary. All ranks below this are within the same generation. Configured per plan and can vary by the upline's own rank.
Generation DepthHow many generations deep commissions are paid. Typically 3–7 generations. Each generation has its own bonus percentage.
Generation Bonus %Percentage of the generation's total group volume paid to the upline. Different percentages per generation — typically decreasing with depth.
Breakaway ConditionThe rank at which a downline leader breaks away to become an independent unit. After breakaway, the upline earns an override bonus (leadership bonus) on the breakaway leader's volume rather than group commissions.
Override (Leadership) BonusPercentage of volume earned by the upline after a downline leader breaks away. Rewards senior distributors for developing leaders who eventually become independent.
Personal Volume RequirementMinimum PV the distributor must maintain to qualify for generation commissions. Ensures commissions go to active participants, not passive title holders.

FAQ

Generation MLM Software — Questions Answered

Generation MLM software calculates commissions based on generations defined by rank boundaries — not fixed level counts. When a downline distributor achieves a qualifying rank, they mark the boundary of a new generation. You earn a configured percentage on each generation's total volume down to the configured depth. MLMOrbit configures generation boundaries, percentages, and breakaway rules during installation.
Breakaway occurs when a downline distributor achieves the same rank as their sponsor. At breakaway, they become an independent unit — their group's volume no longer contributes to the sponsor's GPV, but the sponsor earns a leadership override bonus on the breakaway leader's volume. MLMOrbit configures breakaway conditions and override percentages during installation.
Unilevel pays commissions on fixed levels (Level 1 gets 10%, Level 2 gets 8%). Generation pays based on rank boundaries — the next qualifying distributor defines a new generation, regardless of how many levels deep they are. This means Generation rewards leadership development (getting downline distributors to qualify) rather than just growing a wide frontline.
MLMOrbit's Generation plan supports any number of commission generations — configured at installation. Common configurations run 3–7 generations with different bonus percentages at each level. The qualifying rank that defines generation boundaries and the bonus percentage per generation are all part of your installation specification.
